Mechanical Technician (Job REQ ID # 74729BR):

Job Duties:

Repairs, rebuilds or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems. Performs other, related duties as assigned. Requires well-rounded training and experience usually acquired through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

. 4+ years of proven experience in maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
. Preferred areas of experience may be with light or heavy duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, ground systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
. Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
. Proficient with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
. Effectively applies industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
. Preferably familiar or knowledge with MRAP/RCV systems . Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferable.

Job Description:

This highly responsible and technical work involves contributing to the efficient operation of an Emergency Response Communications Center. Agents are responsible for receiving, evaluating and prioritizing telephone and electronic requests for assistance (emergency and non-emergency) and service. A successful Agent must be able to maintain composure, focus, and confidentiality, often in very high stress situations. Working under the direction of a qualified Supervisor, the Representative must adhere to defined protocols and process information rapidly with a high degree of accuracy to determine an appropriate course of action.

Responsibilities

. Receives calls and responds to them appropriately.
. Ensures calls for service are expediently processed within the framework of defined protocols, procedures and policies.
. Notifies agencies or services that can provide emergency and non-emergency assistance to the right address, communicating the appropriate urgency and importance of the situation.
. Creates accurate logs of all communications that have been undertaken for the purpose of assuring the general safety of customers.
. Updates and maintains confidential service and personal health data provided by customers.
. Ensures all equipment and software utilized is operational and immediately reports any malfunctions to the Supervisor.
. Attends and successfully completes required trainings to maintain Priority Dispatch Certification. . Researches and resolves customer issues.
. Adheres to all Federal and State regulations as they pertain to the assigned program – such as information security & privacy (i.e., CPNI, HIPAA, and FDA’s 501K Clearance issues). . Meets or exceeds all performance indicators for the assigned responsibilities.
. Demonstrates high standards of professionalism and integrity by consistently adhering to the Company’s Policies. . Performs other duties as required.

Position Summary
The Social Worker in the Community Integration Program works as part of a multi-disciplinary team serving clients in the community. S/he will provide transitional support and case management services to participants enrolled in the Community Integration Program, which would include, but not be limited to, the following activities:

Essential Functions
* * * * *Conduct intake, needs assessments for program participants and develop clearly written individualized service plans.
* * * * *Provide case management services which include but are not limited to the following activities: providing appropriate resources, tools, and counseling to assist participants in achieving their case plan goals; making referrals for services and following up to ensure that the referrals were completed; and tracking and documenting participant progress.
* * * * *Work collaboratively with housing relocation specialist to assist participants as needed while they prepare to move into permanent housing. Such assistance may include accessing move-in assistance, coordinating donated furnishings and other basic household items.
* * * * *Work collaboratively with vocational specialist to assist participants in accessing employment and training opportunities.
* * * * *Deliver home-based case management services to participants once they move into permanent housing.
* * * * *Document and maintain up-to-date information on services provided to clients in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
* * * * *Participate in weekly case management meetings and attend staff trainings as required. * * * * *Prepare and submit case and program reports as needed.
* * * * *May transport/accompany clients to appointments and self-help activities as needed * * * * *Provides crisis intervention as needed
* * * * *Attend regular staff meetings and trainings when assigned by the Program Manager * * * * *Rotates with the multi-disciplinary team for on-call duties
* * * * *Adopts an “whatever-it-takes” approach in assisting clients to retain housing and independent living * * * * *Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions
Most of the direct service work is performed in the community (e.g., clients’ homes) and not at Haven. Thus, the Social Worker must have the ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis, the ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead; ability to operate computer, fax and telephone; and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Minimum Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
* * * * *A criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures. * * * * *Must pass TSA driving test and Motor Vehicle Record check. * * * * *Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field * * * * *Master’s Degree in Social Work or other relevant area preferred * * * * *Excellent communication skills.
* * * * *Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification in first 90 days of employment. * * * * *Must pass health screening.
* * * * *Must receive TB testing twice yearly.
* * * * *A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
* * * * *At least 18 months experience working with veterans and/or homeless people who have mental illness and/or substance use issues. Applicants who do not meet minimum qualifications need not apply.
