ManTech is seeking a Project Manager to assist in carrying out the mission of the Department of Energy’s Sunshot initiative. Working with an existing SETA and team the Project Manager will help the SunShot Initiative create, manage, evaluate, and promote an effective solar workforce training program for transitioning military veterans (the “Solar Ready Vets” program), leveraging the DoD Skillbridge program. The SETA and Project Manager will work within DOE’s SunShot Initiative to build out collaboration with Federal and military partner organizations (branches of the military, the Department of defense, the Veterans Administration, and the Department of Labor) for program evaluation and expansion. Solar Ready Vets serves veterans, the solar industry, and the Energy Department’s SunShot initiative through the creation of a new talent pool of high-quality solar professionals, creating well-paying jobs for veterans, reducing hiring costs for solar companies and increasing installation performance for consumers. The SunShot Initiative’s mission is to reduce the price of solar energy to make it cost competitive with fossil fuels by 2020.

General Responsibilities:
. Design and develop presentations for stakeholders and the public; create and review written materials used in marketing and publicizing the Solar Ready Vets program. Produce content for SunShot and DOE websites as requested regarding Solar Ready Vets.
. Assist and collaborate in planning, drafting materials, holding events, promotions, meetings and campaigns.
Participate in community activities, industry groups, workshops and related organizational activities.
. Liaise with SunShot and DOE communications teams as requested to provide communication materials regarding solar workforce, military energy and workforce programming . Answer public and internal inquiries regarding the status of the “Solar Ready Vets” program within the SunShot initiative . Maintain a sense of proactive communications support in order to seize and create opportunities for the client to connect with stakeholders and expand the program.
. Compose standard correspondences (routine memos and letters), briefing memos, and program directives.
. Attend meetings to provide routine information (employee information, department reviews) . Present pre-developed materials as needed

Requirements:
. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in project management.
. Veteran status or experience and familiarity with military agencies and activities required.
. Strong ability and demonstrated experience in conducting organizational outreach and project creation/management required.
. Familiarity with US workforce and educational training structures and credentialing processes preferred . Bachelor’s degree in a STEM area preferred.

Other Skills Required:

. Strong oral/written communication skills are required. The candidate will be expected to effectively represent the project status to senior government officials and military officers – strong interpersonal skills a must. An ability to quickly learn Federal contracting procedures and perform in a complex, dynamic environment required. Ideal candidates should be organized, persistent, detail- and team-oriented, and emotionally grounded. . Ability to use Microsoft Office

Education & Experience:
Masters Degree in a Social Sciences field (Psychology, Mental Health, Sociology, Social Work, Substance Abuse, Criminal Justice, Nursing) from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education with 18 graduate hours in Mental Health and the following are required:
. Four years full-time wage earning experience in the mental health field in direct client care or six years of related administrative (program coordination, supervisory, teaching in mental health; working directly with college students) can be considered as experience to teach SCWK, PSYT, CMSW courses.
